It is essential that
providers offering collection and diagnostic or monitoring services
maintain or exceed the quality of training, collection service,
and testing that is provided by major centers, and is demanded
by national accrediting agencies. This is necessary to protect
the client and reduce the risk of liability to providers.
Documentation of proper
training, testing, and management of risk reduction policies
are essential as evidence in disability, personal injury, and
malpractice cases. Training consideration should be focused
on national and international standards, assurance of competency,
knowledge, and quality of care offered to clients.
We customize workshops
to train individuals involved in point-of-care testing services.
Emphasis is placed on providing safe quality care to clients.
Training focuses on the proper procedure for performing skin-punctures,
and the proper use, maintenance, trouble-shooting, instrument calibration,
and quality control of instruments, which will be used for testing
and monitoring of medical conditions.
In addition to workshops
and training sessions, we assist in policy, process and
protocol development, and perform competence assessment for personnel
involved in point-of-care testing services, according to American
Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) standardized guidelines.
Operator competence assessment includes direct observation of
test performance, problem-solving, skill evaluation, and assessment
of test performance using unknown samples.
